Hideaway is located in a very quiet and secluded cul-de-sac facing onto a reserve and then the river. Although secluded you will find that you are within walking distance of many facilities as well as the town centre. Walking tracks, the bowls club, the golf course, Denmark Hotel, the tennis courts, supermarkets, craft shops, coffee shops and restaurants are all just a few minutes away.

Below is an overview of how to reach Denmark, access to Hideaway and directions for getting around.

Denmark is located about 500 kms SE of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. It can be reached by road down the Albany Highway (Hway 30)with a right turn at Mt Barker, leading to an intersection with the South Coast Highway (Hway 1). A right turn there will take you straight into Denmark. As shown in the maps, a left turn off the highway will take you into Flay St and another left turn will give you access to Hideaway. The house in which you will stay is marked in the maps with a green arrow.

Flay St is metalled but the section of Bayley Street adjoining the property is a bush track only suitable for 4-wheel drives or walkers. Similarly, Bambrey Rd enables you to walk into Denmark. There is a track from the western end of Bambrey which takes you past the Bowls Club and greens to a set of steps which enables you to access the South Coast Highway and use the pedestrian lane of the bridge to cross over the Denmark River into the charming town of Denmark with its main street, Strickland St in which you will find 2 supermarkets, a variety of interesting shops, coffee shops and a number of restaurants. Just over the bridge and to the left is the charming Denmark Hotel that overlooks the river. Also within walking distance is the Denmark golf club to the right along the South Coast Hwy.If you are interested in bush walks, there is easy access to the walking track along the river which takes you right down to the river mouth.

There are other ways of travelling to Denmark from Perth. One is to take a Skywest Airlines flight from Perth to Albany (duration 75 mins). Denmark is 50 kms from Albany along the South Coast Highway (Hway 1). Hire cars are available at Albany Airport. Another is to take Highway 1 from Perth through Margaret River and link up with the South Coast Highway which brings you into Denmark from the west.

There are a number of buildings on the property in addition to the main house which is your holiday home. As you turn off Flay St to enter the property, you will see a shed on the left hand side of the driveway. Continue on and, as you veer right, you will see the door to the double garage. Park your car here and go to the front door of the house to the left of the garage door. This door has a combination lock for which you have been provided with the current code. Punch in the combination, turn both handles and the door will open to provide you with access to the entry vestibule. Please read the notice on the door on the left, proceed through it and you will enter the living area of the house. There is access to the garage to the right of the main entry door.
